Kiro is built on Code OSS (the open-source foundation of VS Code), making it compatible with existing VS Code themes, settings, and Open VSX plugins. Under the hood, it is powered by AWS Bedrock, primarily utilizing Claude models (such as Claude 3.5 Sonnet and newer versions) to handle reasoning and code generation.
